Wormate is a .io game inspired by popular multiplayer games like Slither.io. Set in a large arena, you must slither around consuming food and power-ups to grow your worm larger. Once you grow bigger, you'll be able to trap other worms and get their food! See how big you can get in Wormate.
How to Play Wormate.io
Wormate is a simple enough online game for anyone to learn. You eat, you grow, and you survive. Look out for other players, especially when you get bigger, as they'll want to eat all the food you drop. The advantage of being big is that you can trap smaller worms by circling them.
Power-ups help you achieve your worm-related goals in Wormate much quicker. These abilities affect you for a short time in which you should make the most of the effect. The power-ups in Wormate are:
Magnet - Pulls food towards you from a greater distance.
Lock - Gives you a large amount of food.
Crisscross - Lets you make sharper turns.
Speed boost - Makes your worm move faster.
Magnifying glass - Zooms out the camera for greater visibility.
Question mark - Gives you a random power-up.
Multiplier - multiplies the level of nourishment provided by the food depending on the value (2x, 5x, or 10x).
There are many games like Wormate.io. Most of these games take inspiration from Slither and other early .io games:
Powerline.io - More like classic Snake, but in a big multiplayer arena. Also, you're playing as a line of electricity, not a snake!
Worms.Zone - Like Wormate but with a different feel and graphics for those who prefer the style.
Paper.io - Instead of growing a snake or worm, why not expand and grow your territory instead?
Wormate.io is developed in HTML5 for the browser. There are also iOS and Android versions available.
Wormate.io is made by Oleksandr Godoba, a Ukrainian developer.
