Western Sniper is a shooting sniper game that drops you into a dusty frontier town with a rifle, a wanted poster, and a job to do - hunting down your enemies. In each level, you are tasked to take out the wanted outlaws and clear out all the bandits before they take you down. Land headshots for bonus cash, then spend your earnings on upgrades to make your gunslinger deadlier.

How to Play Western Sniper

Each level of Western Sniper begins with your character perched somewhere in town, often on a balcony or rooftop overlooking the streets. In the top left corner, you'll see your current contract number and your objectives, which typically read: shoot the WANTED target and shoot all BANDITS. The wanted poster shows you exactly who you're hunting, so study that face before you start firing.

Your cash balance sits in the top right corner, along with a settings gear if you need to adjust anything.

The controls

The controls are pretty simple:

  • Move your mouse to aim. Your crosshair follows your cursor.
  • Click to shoot.

When you aim through the sniper scope, the view zooms into a circular sight with crosshairs. Line up your shot, ideally at your enemy’s head, and fire.

Aiming and ammo

Keep an eye on two things at the top of the screen. The red heart bar at the top shows how much damage you can take. Bandits shoot back, so don't just stand there.

You also have a limited number of shots per contract, shown as bullet icons under the health bar. Every miss costs you, so make each shot count.

The portraits at the top of the screen track your targets. The counter (for example, 0/2) shows how many wanted outlaws you've taken down so far.

Not every contract is a long-range job. Some levels put you right in the middle of the action with dual pistols, facing down bandits in a close-quarters shootout. The aiming works the same way, but you'll need to be quicker since enemies are firing back at close range.

Earning Rewards

When you finish a contract, the completion screen breaks down your earnings:

  • Level Reward: Your base cash payout for completing the contract.
  • Headshot Bonus: Extra cash for every headshot you land.
  • New Prize: A safe that fills up a little more with each completed contract. Fill it, and you unlock a prize.
  • Valley of Vultures: Your chapter progress, shown as a row of bullets that fill in as you complete contracts.

You'll see two claim options: a plain CLAIM for your standard reward, or CLAIM X3, which triples your payout in exchange for watching a short ad.

Not every job goes smoothly. If you take too long, your wanted target can slip away, and you'll see a TARGET ESCAPED screen marking the contract as failed.

Upgrades

You've got three stats to work with: Damage (hit harder), Reload Speed (get back in the fight faster), and Aim Speed (steady that shot before your target wanders off). Every level-up costs cash, so you may want to prioritize Damage first. If you're the type who needs a little wiggle room, More Bullets (+1 per contract) is there for the price of an ad, and honestly, on the tougher levels, it is worth it.

Between contracts, keep an eye out for the Free Bundle - a new skin plus a free stat bump. Yeah, you gotta sit through an ad, but free is free.
