PvP gameplay in War Thunder takes place across vast battlefields, often set in historical locations of war like the fields of Normandy, Berlin, Korea, and many more. Some naval air and aircraft battles take place over oceans around the world. There's an engaging PvE game mode too, with historical campaign and solo missions if you want a break from the PvP action.
Take part in a battle that spans over 80 huge maps, featuring land, naval and air combat. There's a thriving online community battling it out daily in colossal cross-platform warfare.
There are various battle modes you can play, each with their individual conditions. Arcade battles feature two teams of up to 32 players and are the recommended place to start playing War Thunder because the gameplay is more casual.
The other two modes are Realistic Battles and Simulator Battles. Both of these game modes feature more realistic mechanics and game conditions, with Simulator Battles being the most realistic. Enduring Confrontation is also an additional battle mode that focuses on aircraft fights.
War Thunder has an abundance of World War II and Cold War combat vehicles, with over 1,500 highly-detailed models available for you to try out. Takedown aircraft from a bomber turret in engrossing dogfights, or annihilate planes from the ground using anti-aircraft weaponry. Find your favorite combat machine and dominate the field.
