Mansion Tale: Merge Secrets is a casual puzzle merge game with a renovation story wrapped around it. You play alongside Ashley, a designer who arrives at a grand but neglected estate, where the stern caretaker Sebastian is waiting. Every merge you make helps restore the mansion and its gardens, one task at a time.

How to Play Mansion Tale: Merge Secrets

Your character is Ashley, and you arrive at an abandoned and run-down mansion, so roll your sleeves up. After an awkward first meeting with Sebastian at the gate, the renovation begins. Keep tapping the screen to continue the conversation with characters you meet along the way. You can skip ahead with the double-arrow button in the top corner if you want to get straight to the puzzles.

Your first tasks are simple - knock at the gate, then install a new one. Each task shows a coin cost (like 20 coins) and a star reward. Tap Play on a task to jump into the merge board and start earning.

The Merge Board

The board is a grid packed with cardboard boxes, cobwebs, and hidden treasures.

Drag one item onto an identical one to create a single item of the next level. Plates become saucers, saucers become teacups, and chains climb all the way up through lamps, chandeliers, clocks, and radios. Tap any item to see its name and level in the panel on the right.

Boxes open as you level up. When a merge creates a new higher-level item, nearby boxes get uncovered, revealing what's inside. Merging is how you explore the board, so keep combining to open up more space and find more pieces.

A webbed item can't be moved on its own. To free it, you need to merge it with a matching item that isn't covered in webs. Once cleared, it joins your board like any other piece.

Example Merge Chain

  • 2 plates = 1 cup
  • 2 cups = 1 teapot
  • 2 teapots = 1 vase
  • 2 vases = 1 candelabrum
  • 2 candelabra = 1 floor lamp
  • 2 floor lamps = 1 antique clock
  • 2 antique clocks = 1 antique telephone
  • 2 antique telephones = 1 antique radio
  • 2 antique radios = 1 gramophone

Energy and Generators

Two things pace your progress: energy and generator recharges.

Energy (the lightning bolt at the top) is spent when you merge and when you generate new items. It refills on its own at a rate of 1 energy every 2 minutes, and when you run dry, tapping the energy button offers a free refill.

The generator is the middle item on the board. Tap it to spawn new low-level items (plates). The generator holds a limited stock, and once emptied, it needs a few minutes to recharge. You can wait it out or take the free speed-up when it's offered.

While the generator recharges, spend your energy merging what's already on the board, and plan your next merge.

Coins fund your renovation tasks. Once a task hits its target (say, 20/20 coins), hit Complete to finish it. You'll earn stars, and the mansion visibly transforms. For example, the rusty, broken gate becomes a fresh white one draped in pink flowers.

You can hop between the mansion view and the merge board anytime using the clipboard and arrow buttons on the mansion screen.

Tips

Clear cobwebs early because freed items give you more pieces to work with and open up the board faster.
