How to Play Table Tennis World Tour

Swing and serve

You only need to drag your mouse to move the racket toward the ball. The way you swing the racket affects the ball’s direction. You can move the racket closer or further away to achieve a more controlled strike. Try to catch your opponent off guard with a good angled hit to build up the points.

Score the most points

The match is over when the first team reaches a score of 11. Keep the pressure on your opponent to get there before they do! Each tournament you play has six games against other players worldwide. You can move on to the next level when you obtain the trophy for the first country.

Stay focused

Your AI opponents in the Table Tennis World Tour are dynamic and vary in difficulty depending on the stage you’re at. This changing difficulty level means you must think on your toes to beat your next opponent.

The key to hitting the ball is all about what position you’re in. If you move your racket close to the ball as it comes towards you, you are more likely to get a good shot. Once your racket is in the ball’s direction, it will make contact automatically, so there's no separate swing button to press. The angle you hold your racket at the moment of contact decides where the ball lands on your opponent's side, so tilting into your shot lets you place the ball in a corner or push it wide where your opponent can't reach. Just be careful not to overdo it, because if you are too aggressive, the angle can send the ball flying off the table and hand your opponent a free point.

Choose Your Team

Before your tour begins, you can pick your country from a selection of 40 flags with options ranging from Brazil and Japan to Kazakhstan and Uruguay. From there, the world map lays out your journey through numbered tournament stops, each hosted in a different region of the globe. You work through them in order, and a trophy marks the stop you're currently competing in.

Each tournament stop is a series of six matches, and a counter in the top corner tracks how far along you are. Every match pits your country against a new opponent, with the flags and score displayed on the board above the table. In order to unlock the next destination on the map, you need to win all six matches and claim that country’s trophy.
