Wizard 101 is a free-to-play MMORPG game set in a fictional universe called the Spiral. Starting as a student in the RavenWood School of Magical Arts, you have to save the Spiral from destruction. Choose from a range of magical styles, engage in turn-based battles, and progress to new worlds in the Spiral galaxy.

Wizard 101

Wizard 101 has been around for a while. The game was released in 2008, and is still going strong, with substantial graphical and gameplay updates making this legendary RPG game as relevant as ever. It’s a game that will surprise new players, and provide a reason for veterans to check it out again for the new updates and the nostalgic sentiment.

How to Play

As a student of the magical arts, you must master wizardry and progress through a rich storyline to save the Spiral from evil forces. You can choose from one of seven magical schools. These schools are Fire, Ice, Storm, Life, Death, Myth, and Balance Magic. Whatever school of magic you choose, you’ll learn the strategy behind it as you level up further.

Battle System

There are several worlds to unlock as you progress through the game battling your foes. The battle system is turn-based using a magic deck of cards. You can adjust your deck of spells until you find a deck that slays your enemies efficiently. For additional support, you can always invite your friends to join you and utilize the benefits of teamwork to take down your foes. There’s online PvP too if you want to battle other players.

Worlds

Wizard101 features 16 beautiful worlds with engaging storylines. There are icy worlds and vast deserts, all the way to jungles and ancient lands. The first world is available to all f2p players. After that, you can use crowns (the official in-game currency) or membership to access the rest of the Spiral galaxy. As well as being purchased, you can earn Crowns for free by taking part in trivia quizzes, daily quests, and inviting friends.

Kid-Friendly

Wizard101 is an RPG game that’s suitable for children. There are parental controls that can be used to restrict chat and more. There is also a chat filter in place to censor profanity and personal information from being displayed.
