What are the rules to play Mahjong?

Traditional Chinese Mahjong is typically played by four people who need to achieve a complete hand of 14 tiles, including four sets and a pair, to win the game. Players draw and discard tiles in turn, with opportunities for the other players to claim tiles discarded by others to complete sets; the main sets are: Chows (sequences), Pongs (triplets), and Kongs (quadruplets). The game is usually played with 136 tiles, although some variations utilize 144: those include numbered tiles (Dots, Bamboo, Characters), honor tiles (Winds, Dragons), and in some cases bonus ones (Flowers, Seasons).
